After having studied at IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad, he worked with a wide variety of companies and got a wide exposure to different industries and functional areas in the last 25 years.
Having worked in the areas of production, management consulting (Accounting, inventory control, preparation of project reports, market research, manpower recruitment, development of compensation package etc.), teaching and marketing (mainly International marketing) has given a wide perspective and strong foundation to work on.
He thrives on taking up challenging jobs and enjoys innovation and new ways to solve the problems.
His ability to work with people and to guide them in their careers and in the work at the organization has helped improve productivity and boost the morale of the people working with him.
During the last 15 years, he has extensively been involved in international business and handled exports from India. The initial strategy of the company where he worked was to outsource the products. This gave him an exposure of sourcing out engineering parts from small and medium sized vendors in India. He has been instrumental in initiating the export business with the previous company and bringing the export turnover to about USD 3 million Dollars. He was fully responsible for the marketing, manufacturing and delivery to the customers including out sourcing of the parts.
His knowledge of the international market as also the Indian business is a big help in bridging the gap between the customer (international) and the supplier (Indian). |
